More than once a friend has said – “I saw an idea like yours on the TV”.   The idea allegedly “like mine” was the “Shimuzu Mega-City Pyramid” on Discovery Channel’s “Megastructures” programme.  750,000 inhabitants in steel spheres, connected by steel tubes, in a pyramidal formation.  An insane idea if there ever was one but, aside from being pyramid-shaped, it has absolutely nothing in common with Oasis Cities.   I find it very annoying, if not depressing, that people can make such facile and ignorant comparisons without first bothering to find out what Oasis-Cities are all about.
