Pyramid Pics

In the 1970’s “Pyramid Power” was all the rage…

Since those heady “new age of Aquarius” days not many pyramids have been built and, on googling “modern pyramid buildings”, most of what I found is unbuilt “vanity projects”, glass pyramids, exhibition halls, a few fancy hotels, a few office buildings, etc.  No large truly residential pyramids and, of those that have been built, most are “pyramidal” rather than “pyramid”

Glass Pyramid in Sydney Botanical Gardens
built 1972 at the height of the “Pyramid Power” craze, to be demolished in 2014
Although the authorities will no doubt claim it to be a co-incidence, a paper template I took from the base showed that the angle of inclination is almost exactly the same as the Pyramid of Khufu, so the architect must have been doing a secret PP experiment.

When new, as seen here, it sat isolated but now the area is heavily built-up.

Still the only residential “true” pyramid ever built.
