An imaginary Q&A session with a scornful sceptic….
Q – You make this DP thing sound like a paradise on earth – how can you be sure it will be as wonderful as you paint it..?
A – Because the people who will live there will feel honoured and privileged at being selected to become part of such a desirable community. Being selected for DP residence will be like landing a dream job – having won over the interviewers and gained the job (or admission), you work hard and diligently to prove your worth and loyalty and to confirm that the company (or community) made the right decision by hiring you (or admitting you) and to repay the trust they invested in you when they did so.
Q – So they’re only going to let in people they like, or like the look of…?
A – Of course. Do you invite people you don’t like into your house?
Q – But this is a city, you are talking about cherry-picking the inhabitants of an entire city…!?
A – Its not an entire city, its a community within a city – think of it as a a very big extended family in a very big house. Everyone will have the right and opportunity to build their own “house” for their own extended “families” if they so wish.
Q – I suppose you intend to keep out blacks and muslims?
A – Prospective members of the community will need to be approved by an admissions board composed of existing members. Ideally it would not be a permanent body, because that could be accused of bias or even become corrupted, but a rotational system – it could be a civic responsibility like jury duty.
Q – They’re still not going to select any blacks and muslims are they..?
A – Blacks & muslims can do the selecting themselves if they create their own similar communities.
Q – Huh, but you know thats not gonna happen..!
A – Why not? Do you think they don’t have the ability to create their own intentional communities..?
Q – Well, lets take blacks for example – where would they get the finance from..?
A – They seek finance in the marketplace – issue bonds, shares, whatever. If investors think its a sound proposal they will invest.
Q – What if nobody wants to invest in their pyramid-city community, what do they do then..?
A – Well thats bad luck, but as other people leave ObeCities for 3MC’s, there may very well be a glut of houses on the market, all going for a song.
Q – Yeah, but what about those who want to live in one of your exclusive DP communities…?
A – Ah, now we’re getting to the truth of the matter, and herein lies the paradox of a “racially or religiously diverse community”. A small amount of such diversity is probably fine but, once a certain numerical threshold is passed, a political element will arise and – seeing there are only a few of “our people” – they will start agitating to admit more. It only takes a few noisily forceful radicals to “persuade”, by various means, the quiet ones to join in. Those who like the community the way it is and don’t readily show their solidarity will be intimidated by the radicals to join the agitation in order to present a united front. If the admissions board doesn’t comply with the demands that they admit more diversity, they will be accused of racism and Islamophobia. If they buckle to the demands, then its only a matter of time before it is no longer the “lacking diversity” community which originally attracted the “diverse” people. From there on its the same old slippery downhill slope that we see in the UK and throughout traditionally white western nations. Its far better for everyone to live in their own communities with their own people, as long as everyone can freely visit other communities and come together for social gatherings from time to time. Thats why we have countries in the first place – multiculturalism is fundamentally against the laws of nature.
