OASIS CITIES could serve as URBAN LABORATORIES (to use Paolo Soleri’s expression) – where new ideas in education, health-care, or politics – could be trialled on small self-contained communities, given the agreement of the subjects of course.

Meanwhile, in our so-called “democracies”, ideologically-driven policies are dictatorially imposed on millions of unsuspecting guinea-pigs. The 1997-2010 Labour Party administration facilitated a massive increase in 3rd world immigrants – the beneficiaries being automatic Labour voters. It was later admitted by a Labour Party policy maker that they wanted “to rub the rights nose in diversity”.
IT IS TOTALLY INDEFENSIBLE FOR A DEMOCRATIC GOVERNMENT TO PERFORM IRREVERSIBLE SOCIAL AND DEMOGRAPHIC EXPERIMENTS ON UNSUSPECTING MILLIONS WITHOUT FIRST TRIALLING SUCH IDEAS ON SMALL SAMPLES OF WILLING SUBJECTS..!
OASIS-CITIES WILL ENABLE JUST THAT..!
As “virtual islands” Oasis-Cities will present a golden opportunity to trial promising socio-political ideas on a small scale with the PRIOR consensus and co-operation of the citizenry.
OA-Cities could perform a useful duty as socio-economic “Petrie Dishes” wherein promising ideas – which would be irresponsible to trial on a nation-wide scale – could be pre-trialled in small self-contained communities. Monitoring would be easy, results easily analysed, and conclusions quickly drawn. Bad ideas will soon become apparent and the experiment quickly curtailed, whereas the good ideas would be continued with and may later become widely adopted elsewhere.
In OA-Cities good ideas will thrive and any bad ideas quickly identified..!
